VERIFIED GROSS MASS
SOLAS approves two alternative methods for verifying the gross mass of packed shipping containers, You must either:

METHOD 1 - Weigh the packed container using certified, calibrated equipment OR

METHOD 2 - Weigh all contents, including securing material, and adding the tare mass of the container to the sum of the single masses, using a certified method.
